Simon Avey

Simon Avey spent almost 4 weeks in the hospital. Click HERE for a recap of the beginning of this journey. Then skim over the rest of the posts and see how God has blessed Simon. This blog is for family and friends who have been praying faithfully for Simon.

Grandma visits

Sandi finally got to visit Simon. She sang to him and we prayed together. Lots of questions to a very kind nurse.

He continues to improve as best we can tell. Tomorrow should be a big day with reports from the CT scan and infection tests results.

Telly got to pray for Simon today in his class room at church. He wanted me to tell Tobi that he hopes Simon gets better and to please let us know how he is doing. Charlie said it was good to see Tobi at church today and he wanted to tell you that when Simon gets better he wants to teach him to do a somersault. You continue to be in our many, many, many prayers. Love the Varga Family

The Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church had a time of prayer for Simon and the Avey family this morning--be encouraged that saints everywhere are holding up faithful hands on your behalf. We rejoice at every mention of how God is answering prayer.

We are praying for Simon and for you all. Our church had special prayer for you today, and we will continue to do so.

I know it is very hard not to know what is going on. We are praying that God will give you peace and the doctors wisdom and understanding.

It is unbelieveable what has happened in the last three days. The power of God has been wonderful to see as we have prayed for you and Simon. Steve and I can't imagine the feeling of helplesness and yet how wonderful to know he is under God's protection. We prayed as a congregation this morning and every Mom and Dad's heart went out to you. We want you to know we are continuing to pray for you and your family and little Simon. We hope your day together has been one that you were able to enjoy each other and encouraging to you. We will continue to pray for good results tomorrow. We love you guys and are anxious to see Simon when he gets home. Please know that we are here for you. Love Steve and Sandy

Aveys - We are continuing to pray for you; we prayed in our small group last night. Again, let us know if we can do anything from the north side of Indy. I think Rich gave you our number; we'd really like to bring some non-McDonald's food for you sometime. We continue to pray. Christa Manahan

Hi Aveys,
THis website seems strangely familiar as we went through our valley with little Brayden. I truly believe Brayden made it through b/c God's people prayed for him like they are for Simon. May God's comfort & love surround you, Summer & Dean. Dean, I'm here for ya if you want to talk. We are praying for you and trust in God's soverign plan for your family. May God heal little Simon and bring him back home to his family.
